Audubon Area Community Services to Host Atmos Energy Assistance Blitz on May 6

Owensboro, KY — Audubon Area Community Services (AACS), in partnership with Atmos Energy, will host an Energy Assistance Blitz on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, offering help to eligible households struggling to pay natural gas bills. Assistance will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at multiple Audubon Area Community Services locations across the region.

The Energy Assistance Blitz is designed to help Atmos Energy residential customers who may be facing past-due balances, service deposits, service charges, or who have already experienced a natural gas disconnection. Funding is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with no appointment required.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be an Atmos Energy residential customer with the bill in their name
  • Bring a photo ID
  • Bring a copy of their most recent natural gas bill and/or account number
  • Attend during event hours; no appointment is necessary
