SNAP Employment and Training

The SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) program promotes long-term self-sufficiency and independence by preparing SNAP recipients for employment through on-the-job training, work experience, work-related education, and training activities in 34 Kentucky counties. Kentucky Works Programs

The Kentucky Works Programs (KWP) has provided a bridge to Career Pathway approach to unsubsidized employment in 34 counties since 2007 by combining time-limited subsidized employment with a comprehensive set of services to help participants overcome barriers and build work-related skills.

To enable work eligible individuals to meet the primary obligation to support their children through self-sufficiency is our primary goal. Participants may also be eligible for assistance with childcare, transportation and other supportive services. Call (888) 856-1942 to get started today.

We currently offer the Kentucky Works Program in the following counties: Allen, Ballard, Barren, Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Edmonson, Fulton, Graves, Hancock, Hart, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Logan, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, McLean, Metcalfe, Monroe, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Simpson, Todd, Trigg, Union, Warren, and Webster.

Senior Community Service Employment Program

The Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) provides seniors aged 55+ with on-the-job experience and skills training for successful reentry in the job market. Specifically designed for older Americans with barriers to self-sufficiency and who fall within 125% of the federal poverty guidelines, the SCSEP program provides individualized services in 13 Kentucky counties. By working in conjunction with participants, the Job Placement Specialist finds subsidized job placement opportunities in line with the participants’ interests and skills.
